Dark almost coal black body with lasting tan head. Toffee, malt and cocoa taste. Sweet fruit and lasting aroma. Full body and finish.

On tap at Away Days, pours a deep dark mahogany — certainly not black — with a small beige head. Nose is very much winter warmer like, with lots of dates, gentle vanilla, maybe a touch of cinnamon. Flavour is similar, with lots of sticky toffee, subdued dates and a hint of vanilla. Not sure how this qualifies as a stout, but it's certainly a tasty winter warmer. Well-done.
