A crisp, hoppy take on the original session beer.

Gather your friends, pack the gear, and head out to wherever the day may take you. A midday go-to, Nooner is our take on the classic German-style pilsner—one of the original session beers. Nooner is easy drinking yet packed with the big flavor of spicy and floral whole-cone hops. Its brilliant golden color begs you to take a sip and sink your taste buds into an extremely welcoming beer, full of flavor and balanced by a crisp, dry finish.

Schönes Gold, stabiler Schaum, Attraktive Dose. In der Nase hopfig, maischig, irgendwie seifig. Im Trunk malzig, dann süß, leichte Bitternoten, die hintenweg nochmal ansteigen. Ganz gutes Ding.

Taster at the Taphouse. Pale golden and clear, streaky lacing. Very grainy, bready. Hops kick in late, just right. At first seemed weak, but ends up tight where it needs to be.

Keg at Rose & Thistle, Frimley. Sour lager aroma. Light gold. Thick bubbly white head. Light bitter, this then grows in strength through to the finish. A slight hint of sweetness. Light bodied. Slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long finish. Perfectly adequate pilsner.

Golden with a white head - Good malt aroma with hints of hops - Nice malt body with hop bitterness to balance - The malt and hops goes into the finish - This was nice and refreshing

Medium white head doesn’t last. Yellow body with light carbonation. Grainy mealy aroma, kind of anonymous. Dryish-sweet grainy caramelly taste with strawy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish grainy earthy aftertaste with strawy spicy notes. Nice, drinkable, has real character. (0.355l can, from wine monopoly, Strømmen.)

From tap. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, toasted malty, estery and slight fruity. Bitter and slight herbal hoppy far finish.

Decent pils, nothing flashy, nothing revolutionary, just a fairly solid beer-tastin’ beer. Lovely golden color sits underneath a fleeting white pillow, giving up modest lace but still pretty. A yeasty apple sweetness hits first, then fades into a haystack malt middle before Euro-hops add a vegetal/herbal twist to the finish. Semisweet floral fade with a yeasty tang. Drinkable and good but nothing special.
