Smooth and malty beginning. Refreshing and very dry, the beer is round and malty. Not too deep, but sessionable with hints of nuts, caramel, dry grain. Refreshing, easy to drink, nice but not too deep ESB.

Bottle from Morrisons, Salford. Clear dark copper with no head. Has plenty of decent winter fruits in both aroma and taste and quite sweet for it.

Bottle shared at chriso’s Post-GBBF 2014 Tasting - London. Pours clear amber-gold with a creamy, off-white head. Tasty if a bit simple, with basic doughy bread, toasted leaves. Light bodied with average carbonation. Lightly papery on the finish with soft toast, doughy bread, faint leafy bitterness. Fairly bland and inoffensive.
