0,33 l bottle, bought at Bierland Hamburg. Thanks to Esther for the warning. I opened the bottel very carefully and could handle the gushing. Murky dark orange in the glass, at least one finger head, fast fading. Fruity hopy nose with malt. Starts very bitter, followed by a short alcoholic sequence with allmonds, than again a lot of bitterness, less fruity, but the typical dark sweet belgian taste. Complex but a little bit too bitter and alcoholic in my opinion.

Bottle shared by Cuso. Hazy amber-brown colour. A lot of carbonation in this one, too much actually. Contributes to somewhat sharp biting mouthfeel. Alcohol not hidden at all, comes at you up front with warmth. Taste is quite complex but IMO does not work harmoniously. Saisony spicy funkiness kind of fights with the hops, tons of carbonation, assertive alcohol. Good but not much more.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts strong, intense hoppy-grasy. More and more bitter, but not too much. Fine fruity notes of grapefruit, light sourish. Finish well balanced, still bitter-hoppy. Nice!

0,33 l bottle from P & M Getränke, best before 31/7/2015. Minimally hazy, orangeish red with a big, foamy, stable, tan head. Welcoming aroma of grapefruit, lemon, lime, spruce and hints of peppery alcohol. Sweetish taste of caramel sugar, raisins and raspberries. The bitterness then appears and rises heavily towards the finish. The finish is rather long with a very dominant alcoholic, sharp and peppery note. Full body, oily, almost chewy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very satisfying and interesting, but not overly complex or enjoyable. The alcohol is too dominant and leaves not much space for other flavours to develop. Not really balanced, thus disappointing.

Süßlicher Antrunk, in dem der Hopfen dunkler und weniger stark ausgeprägt ist als beim normalen IPA. Deutlich herb im Mittelteil, erst im Nachgeschmack auch bitter. Rund, süffig, gut. 11/11/11/9/11/11
