330ml @ Black Christmas 2023 at Heritage Hall. Appearance: dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: spicy, moderate sweetness, malty. Taste: along the same lines, a bit meaty maybe. Overall: good one.

Dark brown, good base, complex malts, dark sugars, indistinct barrel and light whiskey so the barrels used here express themselves well.

330mL bottle, pours jet black with a tiny tan head. Aroma brings out lots of smoked whiskey barrels, bourbon, rum, and peated malt. Flavour is full of peated malt, bourbon, whiskey, and medium roast. Smoky, peaty and gently sweet. Good stuff — better than C.R. Novum — but the base beer is still a bit lacking.

Poured from the tap (too cold, waited half hour for it to warm up). Very dark brown with minimal beige head. Whiskey barrel forward, feint leather, enjoying it more than the other Novum beers. Whiskey character could have a little more depth, but Odd Society isn’t the greatest. ABV is dangerously hidden. Still quite an enjoyable Void beer.
