Birra Nursia Extra has a beguiling dark brown hue with luminous ruby reflections and a creamy, frothy head. Its aroma is characterized by notes of fresh yeast, dark berries and stone fruits, embellished with a touch of cocoa. It is a well-structured beer dominated by malty flavours with hints of caramel and liqueur, rounded off a warm, dry and peppery finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles’s place. Thanks avrashi. Brown, beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, dark fruits, licorice, alcohol. Sweet flavor, malty, caramelly, boozy, with licorice and dark fruits. Medium-bodied.

Little cloudy brown beer, big creamy beige head, pretty stable. Aroma: aniseed, dried fruits, liquorish, orange peel, bit sweet, caramel, candy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. taste: oxidized, dried fruits, caramel, bit spicy, some liquorish. Aftertaste: spicy, liquorish, little bitter, malty.

75 cl bottle thanks to Reza (non-ratebeer) on November 2, 2015.Lotto 223 BB 04 10 18.Slight bit hazy dark reddish brown color, some small floating particles, small teal head. Spicy, alcohol, yeasty, light fruity, sweet, malty scent. Malty, alcohol, fruity, vinous, hints fo raisin taste. Warming alcohol. Sweet, alcohol, malty aftertaste. Medium to a bit fizzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Bottle 330ml. @ [ DOE - Olfestival Kobenhavn 2015 ] @ Lokomotivvaerkstedet, Otto Busses Vej 5A, 2450 Copenhagen SV, Denmark. [ As Nursia Extra ].Light unclear medium red brown color with a small to average, frothy to fizzy, good to fair lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, candy, light toasted - roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, candy sweet, sugary, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150528]

Bottle at KØ15. Quite malty aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Small white head. The flavour is sweet and caramelly. Partly balanced by a medium to high bitterness. Caramelly but well-balanced.
