500ml bottle with advice to leave the last 1-2cm in the bottle. What nonsense, the flavour improved once I topped up my glass with the rest! Its cloudy copper colour, thin off-white head, circular retention. Aroma of toasted grains, light treacle, light stone fruits. Light body with a disappointingly low carbonation. Taste is again toasted malts, yeast, light bitter orange, some sharp citrus at the end with a touch of resin. More flavour than your average best bitter but lacks a little in the bottle conditioning in terms of head and carbonation zing, its a difficult balancing act I guess. Would be interesting to try on cask if I'm ever that way.

Gravicask at The 14th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival, Marquee Bar A. Shared with Finn on the first day of the festival. Golden body, near-clear, scattered lacing, covering white head. Moderate smell of bread and lemony hops. Malt-fruity flavoured with biscuit, lemon, and bread. Distant bittersweet end, dry. Pretty fair. (Nottingham 12.10.2022).
