Re-rate 4/26/11: Bottle. Beer of the month club. Almost clear amber color with a medium white head. Aroma of slightly grainy malt, butter, caramel, some floral/citric hops, grassy notes and some fruity notes. Flavor of malt with some graininess, floral and grapefruity hops, light acidity and a strong, somewhat unpleasant bitterness. Light-medium-bodied. It’s a mess. 5/3/5/2/10=2.5
Bottle sample at a tasting. Cloudy amber color. A quite nice sweet and fruity aroma with some hops, a bit of malt and a bit of caramel. Sweetish flavor with light acidity and a rather bitter finish. Medium-bodied. An OK beer but something feels a bit off. 6/3/6/2/12=2.9

Moderately hazy, rust-colored beer - medium hop profile in the aroma, with some bready malt and a kind of honey-covered strawberry smell - the same can be said of the flavor - a bit bready, with a mild berry fruitiness - nice balancing hop profile - earthy, grainy notes - a bit tangy in the finish - nicely balanced, with lingering hops and herbal notes - under-rated.

Thin white head. Deep golden body. Sweetish malty aroma with resiny honeyish hop notes. Dry chalky resiny malty taste with straw notes. Clean mouthfeel. Dry papery straw aftertaste. It’s all right, but a bit mild. (0.355l bottle at RBNAG’07.)

12 fl. oz bottle, thanks to BA richgo6. Orange coloured beer, slightly hazy, with a huge off-white head. Nice hoppy aroma, very fruity. The flavour is also quite hoppy throughout, with resinous notes and some malty sweetness. Not bad at all. The style seems more American than English to me, though - but what do I know?

Bottle from alldaydrinker;nose of grassy hops and a tart note; hazy copper with a small beige head; flavor of lightly sweet caramel malt, a hint of hop bitterness, some orange-citrus, and light spiciness. Decent beer, not great not bad, just drinkable!

This beer came in my beer club - I am not familiar with the brewer. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a medium amber color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma was sour, tangy and a bit rotten with a trace of sulfur. The flavor was sour, bitter and lightly nutty. There is a hint of rotten vegetables.

Fluffy, thickish head with an amber-brown colour to it. Some carbonation hangs around initially. Smell is pretty standard and not too noticeable. Taste is a combination of the malts and the hops and the hops are certainly not hidden. A modicum of rosatinss also hangs about.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Conglomerate white head recedes to hug rim. Caramel malt and light pine hop aromas. Upfront sharp caramel with a lingering bittersweet grapefruit finish. Well balanced and nice for a malty english pale ale. This was my first micro 15 years ago..hopefully doesn’t have the same gastrointestinal tendencies..
