Deep amber robe, rich English malts with a toasted biscuit flavor with wood notes. What gave the beer the name of the american sequoias. With a sweet caramel toffee aroma.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep amber with a nice lacy head. Nose - light caramel with red fruits and a big tropical note, maybe mango or even melon. Taste - a mixture of fruits. Red fruits possibly redcurrants upfront. Then lime and lime pith on the finish. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - tonnes of hops. High bitterness, big aromas too.

Keg at Brewdog Shepard’s Bush. Clearing up the last of the tap takeover. Hazed deep reddy light copper coloured pour with a thin off white head. Aroma is tobacco , slight dank hop, orange peel. Flavour is composed of nutty base grains, light honey, citrus, sharp lemon and floral pollen hop. Lingering orange rind. Palate is a bit watery, moderate carbonation. Assertive mostly clean back of the throat bitterness. Lingering orange and honey. OK.

Hazy to cloudy deep amber colour, small frothy beige head, diminishes slowly to a creamy layer that remains all the way, good lacing. Hoppy aroma, grapefruit, lime, lemon grass, light maltiness, pine, bit of wood. Taste medium bitter, slightly sweet, citrus, bit spicy. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, crisp bitter finish with a light sweet touch, fruity notes, some pine and wood. All in all a very nice amber ale.

Very hazy deep amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is mildly crisp. Good malt base, mild cream and unsweet toffee. Well balanced hop - dominant pine, marmalade underneath with a touch of hop spice. Semi dry finish. Nicely joined up!

Bottle at home in London - sourced from Ales by Mail. Pours unclear russet with a soft, frothy tan head. The aroma holds lightly grainy bread, some tangy citrus fruits and piney notes. Light-medium sweet flavor with a perceptible tangy off-note, some wet earth, ripe and semi-tart berries. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Some further tang in the finish, more earth, old leaves, beat-up leather, old and musty berries, some wood, lightly bitter grain husk. Yeah, something is a bit off here. Could be a mild infection just starting to take hold.

Bottle. Nose is toffee, light lime and mango. Taste is light pine and resin, light toffee, slight lime and touch of caramel. Very good rich mouthfeel. A nice beer that would be framed as an Autumn beer in some quarters.

The taste is bitter, earthy, spice, pine, resin, grapefruit, light toffee and light alcohol with lingering bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Good bitter kick. Nice American amber.
