It’s big, red and full of character. This assertive ruby ale is big in flavour, with hints of tropical fruit, sweet treacle and balances a bitter, hoppy finish.

Bottle from Tom. Clear amber body with a thin off-white head that holds well. Lively carbonation. Great lacing. Aroma of sour metal and caramel. Flavour of toffee apple and stainless steel. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A simple, standard Bitter.

50cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - a beautiful autumnal red which has copper glints in parts. Nicely proportioned head. Nose - toffee and red fruits. Some spicy biscuit in the background. Taste - toffee and biscuit again. Palate - medium bodied with a crunchy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - tasty beer that drinks big for the low percentage.
