A refreshing and very drinkable craft beer, Eden Mill’s St Andrews Blonde Craft Beer is our only single malt and single hopped beer. It has loads of hoppy attitude and a flavour profile spanning apricot to pineapple and grapefruit.

Blonde beers can vary from the Majestic to the Mundane. We think ours as more of a Marilyn rather than a Munter. Best served chilled, we defy you to try this and not fall in love.

With the ingredients we use, and their origins, our St Andrews Blonde craft beer is full of personality.

330ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Lemon, tea and a hint of soap in the aroma. Malt, earthy hops and notes of citrus are in the taste.

Cask at Guildford Arms. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Light lacing. Mild aroma of straw, tropical fruit and shortbread. Biscuit and apricot flavour with a faint peppery spice. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Light carbonation prickle. A pleasant but unspectacular Golden Ale.

33cl bottle. Sample from Victoria at Stockbridge Market. Pours golden with a nicely proportioned head. The nose has some tropical fruits - pineapple comes to mind - and some flowers. The taste is a little fresher with canned peaches and again flowers. The palate is unusual for this style - more texture than I’d expect with also more sweetness - this seems to be typical of this brewer - the finish is still fairly clean but not dominatingly bitter like most examples of this style. This brewer seems to like malts on an equal par with hops which is nice to see. I wonder how he gets such texture - oat malt maybe or is his final gravity a little higher than most? Very interesting.
