A British style Extra Special Bitter inspired by classic British style pub ales with an even balance of nine different malts, matched perfectly with a hint of smooth hops. ESB/Amber has a beautiful deep amber body and is a smooth, easy drinking ale.

bottle at Ft Wayne tasting courtesy of jsquire - Pours light amber with a small off-white head. The aroma is very mild hops. It tastes moderately bitter with caramel malt. To my surprise this one’s a little astringent on the palate so I don’t think the flavors came together quite right. It finishes bitter, but not unpleasant.

Bottle. Slightly hazy amber body, thin off-white head. Nose of floral, spicy hops and bready malts. Caramely body, not too sweet, with soapy, floral hops and burned fruitskin. Bitter, spicy finish.

Served on draft at the Michigan Summer Beerfest, 2010, as part of RBSG festivities. Pours a clear amber color with a medium offwhite head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of sweet sugar caramel with very faint citrus and floral notes. The taste is bitter hops, earthy notes, toffee and caramel. Medium bodied.
