Bomber. I’m giving this a perfect score in appearance just for the label. I laughed out loud in the beer store, and while the tarnished penny body and the foamy head don’t merit a 5, \"Corporate Beer Still Sucks\" is worthy of a 6 or 7. Aromas are very malty and sweet... lots of toffee in this one, which seems a little odd for a Pale. It smells like the inside of a Heath bar, that’s for sure. Flavor is decent (and the toffee does come through strong on the palate as well). The hops presence is a little more robust than the nose led me to believe... kind of a bitter herbal and grassy presence. Mouthfeel is very creamy and silky. Much better than I expected, for whatever reason.

Amber color, creamy head. Mild fruity hop aroma. Quite good malt and toffee flavor, with a good strong hopping, carrying some citrusy resins.
It doesn't have a fresh character, but it's quite solid.

2011-08-02, draught at St. Augustine, Vancouver, 7-4-7-4-14=36
Cloudy copper-amber color. Mild aroma of malt and fruity hops. Strong caramel and toffee flavor, with moderate residual sweetness; powerful hopping, quite fruity and resiny. Long, bitter final; it may get a bit too bitter.
Pleasant, without surprise.

Bomber into Sam Adams glass. Bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID. This bottle reads 7% ABV. Pours a hazy orange with a medium light-beige resilient head; leaves some lace. Aroma is cinnamon bread, citrusy. Taste is bittersweet, citrusy, bready, very good. Carbonation is medium-high, body is medium. Has a spicy finish. Excellent APA. I’m surprised this doesn’t have a higher score on here.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours hazy golden orange with a white head. Aroma of floral hops, biscuit and light bready malt. Flavour of biscuity malt, floral hops with a pleasant bitterness on the finish. Fairly standard affair here.

Nice clear copper coloured body with a nice orange glow and a thin white head. Aroma of fresh grassy and herbal hops with a nice bright orange and citrus glow and a good maltiness with a touch of sugars. Medium-bodied; Assertive hoppy flavour with a good hay and grassy hop note showing a pleasant maltiness, some strong citrus and a little sweetness at the tail end. Aftertaste is relatively complex for an APA, showing a good bit of complex hop flavours and a good balance of malt. Overall, a nice APA showing good grassy and herbal hops with a perfect balance and a good sweetness. Overall, a nice APA, and although I had to get it in Alaska, definitely worth it! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchaed from Brown Jug (Old Seward) in Anchorage, Alaska earlier in the day sampled later in my hotel in Anchorage on 18-June-2011.

Draught. Cloudy orange, in that light almost read. Light aroma, sort of hayey. medium bodied, . Light flavoured, some malt. Quite a bit of hop, almost as much as a Cape or an English IPA.

Aroma: The nose is off, some buttery notes, pineapple, caramel, and a little soap
Appearance: Pours a murky looking orange color with a small, sticky head and light lacing
Flavor: The taste is better, clean and malty flavor, lightly sweet, fruity, with a light bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a smooth, clean feel, with a soft carbonation
Overall Impression: I liked it a touch more than the last time, but not enough to increase the score significantly. The nose just isn't very good.

Aroma: The nose is grass, citrus, butter, herbs, and spice
Appearance: Caramel colored body, small off-white head
Flavor: Taste is balanced, good amount of spice and herbs
Palate: Light-medium body with average carbonation
Overall Impression: This beer is just alright. The flavor is a bit stange, but it is certainly drinkable. Something I wouldn't go out of my way for, but wouldn't turn down either.

@Moosetoberfest Gathering Thanks dmac?-22oz bottle-pours an off white head and hazy gold color. Aroma is apricot, light malt-caramel, some spice hops. Taste is apricot, light malt-caramel, some spice hops, yeast. Good effervescence.

Not bad at all. Tap at Rattle n Hum. Pours a nimble amber with an easygoing white head. Nose of mild malts and a little hops. Flavor contains a nice balance of maltiness and hoppiness. Pretty smooth finish with a touch of bitterness and a pleasant aftertaste.

Bomber - New Belgium-brewed batch - labeled as 7% abv - pours a slightly hazy copper - soapy lace - fairly malty aroma, with faint hops, and fairly apparent alcohol for the stated abv - some estery notes - fairly unique character for a pale ale - some almost belgian-ish fruity qualities, light hints of vanilla and oak, light booziness - all of this hiding underneath and overly sweet, slightly spicy pale ale - more warming spice, peppery hops, and alcohol in the finish - quite a bit of apricot and peach throughout - there is a lot of unique stuff happening here, but it doesn’t quite come together.
