Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting XVI (Last Call) on 10/09/2025. Dark brown, nearly black pour with a thin light beige head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Sparse patches of lace. Aroma of malt, rye, oak and fruit. Full-bodied with flavors of oak, spiced rye malt, dark fruit and vanilla. The finish is oaky and boozy with a rye and malt aftertaste. Very good beer overall.

12 oz. can, pours a deep dark brown with a tiny beige head. Aroma is rich, with deep bourbon barrels, molasses, brown sugar, dark dried fruits, and caramel. Flavour is complex, with dark dried fruits, caramel, brown sugar, bourbon and toffee. Very viscous, surprisingly not boozy, and treacly. Lovely.
