Bottle @ Post-Easter Procrastination, Ulfborg. Pours hazy dark coffee brown with small beige head. Clear aroma of coffee, roast and malt, with notes of chocolate. Bitter, roasty flavour, with notes of coffee and hints of nuts. Bitter aftertaste. Thin body. Watery. Nothing to write home about.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Dark brown, minimal head. Pears and licorice up front. Mid dry with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Salmiak, licorice and pears. Mid bitter finish. Elegant modern porter.

Bottle 330ml (from Tampere)
Opaque black color, small beige head. Aroma is toasted, a bit sweet milky with hints of licorice. LIght to medium-bodied. Soft roastyness with light licorice notes. Later some bitterness. Clean, stylish light stout. But as usual 4.5% is a bit too low for these. Seems that this is the style which Pyynikki can brew quite well.

A bottle. A colablack beer with a weak and beige head. Aroma is surprisingly rich, coffee, some chocolate and liquirice, also herbs. Taste has strong cofffee, lots of roastiness, nice chocolate sweetness, then also interesting hops. In the end there are unique and spicy taste that is hard to say with words (ginger/horse raddish?). Almost medium bodied, low carbonation, nice to drink. Good beer, complex and slightly unique.

33 cl bottle @ Atala, BBE 11/2014
Aroma is slightly sour with roasted tones, licorice and milky tones – quite typical to Pyynikki stouts. Flavour has milky tones, some tickling hops and licorice. Also very well – almost rubbery – roasted malt. Perhaps also some turkish coffee and dark chocolate. Finishes with more hops and hoppy notes grow stronger towards the end of the glass. Decent.
