Saaz and Hallertau hops provide a clean, floral aroma with minimal hop bitterness. Fruity/spicy flavors from the yeast are perfectly balanced with the sweetness of Belgian candy sugar. Notes of apricot and pear linger nicely against a dry finish.

Bottle from a mix 12 pack, named the "Pinup Pack". Color is a see-through orange / gold color. Thin head retention. Aroma a lot of yeast byproduct of bubblegum, banana and dried fruits.

Flavor is sweetness of pear with light sugar notes, again Belgian yeast showing bubblegum and banana, but not over powering or overly sweet. The alcohol is only lightly noticed. Texture is somewhat dry. Not overly spiced or overly sweet. Pretty much average for the style.

12 ounce bottle. Bright honey gold pour topped by a firm rocky beige head. Fruity, yeasty malt nose redolent of peaches or apricots. First sip brings fruit, yeast and alcohol. Warming notes in the throat and belly. The tart sweet apricot notes are balanced by a moderate bitter hoppiness. Finish is cloying, then bitter, then dry.

Paging Pump Clip Parade... 355ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear golden with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of solvents, Belgian yeast esters, the inside of those cheap plimsolls you get from the open market in a northern English. town. Taste is white sugar, almonds. So sugared almonds then. Light sweet, cloying finish. All of the bad parts of the style, plus a shit label. Mind you, they did call it Candi, so that’s perhaps fair warning.

12oz bottle. Poured a hazy dark orange color with a small off-white head. Aroma was alcohol, sweet honey notes. Light herbal notes. Belgian yeast, some coriander notes. Flavor was herbal, sweet booze, candi sugar. I really hoped that this one would be really good, but it was just way too boozy and way too sweet. Very disappointing.
