Can thanks to Fergus shared at The Kernel during Zwanze Day 2014. Pours clear amber-brown with a foamy, off-white head. Not bad. Some pine in there, light bread, caramel, ripe citrus. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish with ripe orange and melon. Fair.

Bottle from Bottledog drunk on a train. Hazy brown russet lasting thick beige head. Malty aroma slightly stale American beer aroma. We get that a lot in the UK but less so now. But I guess this is better when fresh. Although the flavour and finish on this is fine. It’s just that sticky toffee aroma. Ok. Just a little stale ok strawberry jam.

Ferguson special. It pours clear deep brown with a small tan head. The nose is caramel, piney, juicy, brown bread, toffee, resin and citrus peel. The taste is oily, toffee, candied citrus peel, juicy, varnish, brown sugar and brown bread with a caramel finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. So-so.

Can - Caramel and light candy floss. Cloudy copper with a decent beige head. Toffee, bitterness, cocoa and a sweet finish. Nice and sweet, but I don’t really get the hops.
