Oude Vieux Faro. 3.1L Bag-in-Box. From 2019, ABV was 7,5%. Fajna zabawa z tym odszpuntowaniem byla:), wszystko sie udalo. Wewnetrzna torba schlodzona do 9 stopni, Pierwszy lyk i pierwsze wrazenia. Hm.. Zapach ciembych pokruszonych ciasteczek oreo, ciemnej hanuty i inne wafelki. Aromat octu balsamicznego takze byl. Barwa bardzo ciemna nawet jak na Faro. Ciemno brazowa, metnawa, zerowa piana, bez gazu, male powolne cisnienie z tego baga sie wydobywa. Posmak kwasny dziki i wytrawny, czuc te ciasteczka troche piernika torunskiego ale takiego surowego bez polewy czekoladowej, piwo bardziej w strone wytrawnosci i kwasowosci niz slodkosci, jak napisano na kartoniku: No sweet. i o to wlasnie chodzi. Doskonale i pozytywnie je odbieram, choc jest z gola inne niz moje wczesniejsze doswiadczenia z Lambic Faro.

# 1267; 1/2019. Vynikající sladkokyselotrpký pivo. V chuti výrazně připomíná švestkový a višňový kompot, rybíz, lehce dřevité a kořenité.

Bag in box - definitely said Faro, and it was poured to us as the Faro, so I guess this is their Faro, and I'm a fair bit more impressed if it's actually this one. Misty reddish body. Aroma... funk, a bit sulphury, some dark fruit, cherries maybe. Sharp, fine taste, cherries/berries, sharp tartness, slightly salty. No residual sweetness at all, but that's what Oud Beersel apparently does with this. Quite tasty really, unlike any other Faro I've tried - again - by not being sweet at all. Anyone could be fooled that this was just a fruit lambic of theirs.

On tap at Koelschip, pours a hazy bronze, no head. Aroma brings out a nice funk and gentle leather. Flavour is not all that sweet for a faro, with leather, barnyard notes, and moderate funk. Not sweet, just a nice leathery character. Very good.
