Sahtipaja Pilot Series is aimed to involve the customers in the development of new beers and meads. Instead of brewing small batches for internal testing we have decided to brew a bit larger batches and distribute them to selected bars. Customer feedback via beer rating sites and through social media will give us a better picture of what people like and want to drink instead of we deciding this for them.

Fonefan 270215 Pale yellow colour with a white head. Flavour is orange, mango, lemon, yeast, tropical fruit, malt. Ordinary beer.

Draft @ Beer Ditch, Malmö. Pours a hazy very pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity sour tart mango orange aroma. Fruity sour tart acidic mango flavor with hints of orange. Has a fruity sour tart acidic orange and mango finish.

On tap at Beer Ditch, Malmö. Hazy yellow with almost no head. Very fresh with lemon, mango, light bread and some hints of malt. The taste was nicely sour with lemon, mango, bread, some orange and hints of hay. The mouthfeel was light and the finish dry and sour. A very refreshing one.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Sahtipaja Pilot Series Apelsin Mango Berliner Weisse ].Unclear matt medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy yeasty, herbs, apple - mango, berliner weiss yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average duration, citrus, tart, herbs, mango, berliner weiss yeast. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20150227]

Draught @ BBB. Pours very hazy yellow with a small white head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is subtle and fruity with wheat crackers, lemon juice, mango, hay and lemon zest. Taste is sour, fruity and slightly grainy with crackers, cereal, lemon juice, yoghurt, dry soil, hay and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is dry, tart and light bodied. Finish is sour with crackers, cereal, lemon juice, dry soil, hay and lemon zest. Not much mango coming through so a bit dull. Needs more mango and most likely not just the orange zest...

Bottled@fonefan (thanks tkrjukoff!). Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is malts, some lactic notes as well as some mild wood. Flavour is zesty, fruity, floral and some lactic notes along with a bit of malts.

Bottle. An unclear, pale yellow beer with a small, white head. The aroma has lots of tropical fruits, with bread dough and lemon in the back. It’s quite thin on the palate, dry and almost tart, with a low level of carbonation. Lemon peel, tropical fruits and some bready notes in the flavor. Lasting lemony finish. Quite interesting this one, a tad doughy though. Refreshing, quenching and easy drinkable. 150227

Mild säuerlich fruchtiger Beginn, leicht nach Mango. Sehr süffig, leider kann die Intensität nicht beibehalten werden stattdessen schnell wässrig. Ok. 8/10/9/7//8
