Bottle shared at the Friday mega tasting, big thanks to Bruce, 03/01/14. Murky chestnut brown with moderate beige heading. Nose is tarte dark berries, funk, woody notes, cobwebs, cherry skins. Taste comprises dank woody notes, strawberry liqourice, sweet berry notes, dank wood, cherry skins, sweet undertones, light acidic qualities. Medium bodied, fine carbonation lending towards a tarte dry finale. Nice Flemish, did not detect double digit ABV in this number! Good complex offering.

Mega Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Bruce for this one. Clear deep red - brown beer, little bubbly tan head. Light palate, crisp and airy. A pleasant level of Flemish sourness with a sweetish counterpoint following on. Underneath nice ripe cherry. Light finish. No idea this had such a big abv, so it’s well hidden.

Bottle shared by Bruce at the mega tasting. It pours deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is woody, earth, vanilla, toasty coconut, cherry, cocoa and balsamic vinegar. The taste is tangy, tart lemon & green apple, malt vinegar, some alcohol, sherbet, moderate acidity, wood, vanilla, coconut and berry skin. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit hot & acidic. Alright.

Bottled shared at the Brokeback Revisited tasting - London. Many thanks to Bruce for this one. Pours clear, cola brown with a frothy tan head. Lots of tangy, dark cherries in the nose, sweat, soaked wood. Medium sweet flavor with mild alcohol warmth, moderate sour berries, cherry, light stewed cherries, subtle bread, a bit of funk, oak. Medium to full bodied with average, spritzy carbonation. Fairly quenching to finish with dried and leathery berries, tart cherries, raspberry seeds, oak. Lingering warmth. Great depth, nice balance for the strength. Solid.

750ml bottle pours a translucent caramel amber with one ring of beige head. Nose of cherry, cough drops, a little syrup, some nail polish, bright fresh fruit. Flavor has a lot more acidity than the nose lets on, some cherry syrup, some light brown sugar, a little strawberry cobbler, lightly sweet. Lightly boozy finish.
