Bottle. A clear, dark amber to brown beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma is toffee-ish and lightly roasted, with a cheesy touch and some grassy hops. It’s medium bodied and soft on the palate, quite dry, with roasted malts, toffee and cheesy, grassy hops. Decent bitterness. Pleasant carbonation. Lasting roasted and toffee-ish finish. Very boring, sure not my kind of brown ale. Well, hardly brown ale either. 150228

Big slightly bubbly mediumlasting head. Aroma is sour-ish grainy, weeds, wet grain, sour caramel, wet hay, almond essence, cereal. Taste is neutral and harsh, wet hay, paper, cereal, weeds, dried grain, medicine, sour caramel. Little bitterness, harsh and watery mouthfeel. Crap!!

33cl bottle from Gulating Ølutsalg, Strømmen. Porus clear copper coloured with a rather small off-white head. Rather modest aroma of malt and caramel with notes of dried dark fruits and hints of herbs and metal. Sweet and caramelly with some fruity notes and a fairly light bitterness. Light to medium body with fairly average carbonation. Easy to drink, but on the sweet side and hardly very interesting. --- Beer merged from original tick of Myrkr on 21 Dec 2014 at 19:47 - Score: 5
