Cask at OCH. It pours clear dark brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is earthy roast, bitter @ sweet, charred, burnt toast and coffee. The taste is very bitter for a mild, earth roast, charred wood, leather, burnt toast, tannin, resin and black tea with a lingering bitter - dry finish. Light - medium body and soft carbonation. Interesting take on a mild. A bit bloody dry and charred though, so a half was enough.

Cask at the Old Coffee House - London. Pours clear brown with a creamy, light khaki head. The aroma holds light roast, toasted toffee, a little earthy coffee. Light sweet flavour with a little day-old coffee character, some lightly toasted malts, subtle earthy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation, decent condition. Alright balance in the finish, with some burnt toast, faint tangy dried berries, mellow cocoa. Not bad on the whole.

Cask at the OCH, 25/05/17. Off black with a well presented beige head. Nose is burnt toffee, ashen tones, liquorice, biscuit crumbs. Taste comprises earthy dark fruit rinds, faint charr, brown bread, toffee, light spice, hint of liquorice, raisins. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close with a very light hoppy backnote. Solid flavoursome mild.
