Gravi-cask at the brewery, 28/01/17. Amber golden with a decent off White head. Nose is dried fruits, light spice, bready twang, grassy. Taste comprises fruit rinds, raisins, dries fruit, caramel, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a light bittering. Decent enough bitter.

Pigs Ear. Wooden Cask. Hazy deep amber beer with a bubbly pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. Mild malt with a whisper of toffee. Little dried fruits and very light hop. Light dry finish. A tasty little beer but unlike most of the other wooded cask beers at the festival, doesn’t seem to have picked up anything from the wood.
