Bottled@fonefan. Ambery copper colour with a mediumsized slightly off-white head, which leaves some slight lace. Aroma is herbal, grassy, some tropical fruits and mild floral notes as well. Flavour is rather similar, with some berries, mild cookies and biscuits as well as some caramel malts and actually a quite crispy maltiness overall.

Bottle, 22oz. A glowing orange-brown beer with a small, dense, light beige head. The aroma is quite malty, with dried fruits and a lovely hoppyness. Caramel, pine cones some citrus peel. The flavor is maltysweet, with some caramel and quite a lot of bitterness, pine cones and citrus peel. It’s full-bodied and pleasantly carbonated, with a lasting bitter and malty finish. Very nice this one, balanced and tasteful. 150228

Hopfiger, mild süßer Antrunk. Dunkel, minimal getreidig, mittelstarke Bitterkeit. Der Hopfen bleibt konstant, unsüffig, was hier aber nicht wirklich schlimm ist. Herbes Ende. 11/10/10/9/11/10

Keg at Third Street Aleworks, Santa Rosa, 28/04/14. Amber with a moderate light beige swirl and edgework. Nose is caramel malt, hops, light pine, grapefruit, bitter orange, citric peel. Taste comprises caramel malt, bitter orange, candied sugars, a little overly sweet and 1D. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the close. Ok but to sweet to take toomuch of this onboard!

Draft - Big hoppy aroma and some toffee in the back. Clear amber with a never ending beige head. Big pine, grapefruit hop notes with a nice sweetness to mellow. A bit flat tasting, but it makes it taste like it’s from a cask, and the flavours work well. A definite winner.
