From tap. Pours hazy brown with a small off white head. Aroma is caramelish and light breadish. Sweet, toasted malty. Harsh hoppy, vague butterish. Herbal hoppy. Caramelish, but to the dry side. Medium dry finish. Rather bitter and almost herbal far finish.

On tap at Søgaards Bryghus. A hazy dark amber colored beer with a small, light beige head. It’s lightly diacetyl-ish on the nose, with piney, grapefruity hops doing most of the job. Caramel, diacetyl notes, grapefruit and pine cones in the flavor, with a really good bitterness. Full body, quite dry on the palate, with a soft carbonation. Lasting finish. Except the diacetyl, it’s a fine beer. 141219
