Cortez Gold - Belgian- style Blonde ale - Like its namesake, Cortez Gold has been searched out for centuries. Our Belgian Style Blonde Ale is refreshingly crisp, accentuated with a touch of Noble Hops. Premium Pilsner malts and Belgian yeast produce an effervescent and deliciously drinkable beer. Cortez Gold has one black boot stuck in tradition and the other firmly planted in the New World.

Canned 946ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb. Unclear golden coloured, medium sized white head, yeasty nose. Sweet malty, yeasty, light caramel notes of hay and touch of spices with short dry sweetish finish. Pretty boring.

A golden beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has fruitness, some yeast and spices. Taste is mix of fruits and basic light malts, also weird earthy sidetaste. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Only hint of belgian fruits. Unfortunaltely, this is too mild and modest.

32oz big can of whoop-ass (that came in a massive 4-pack from Costco) pours with a clear thin gold body that supports an off white head. The aroma offers up plenty of estery bananas, cloves and bubble gum as well as a bit of apple. The taste seems a tad soft with sweet banana and bubble gum and cracker like malt notes where spicy and modestly bitter noble hops and pepper sensation attempt to create a more peppy experience. Overall this is fairly light and refreshing and the sweet estery notes are pleasingly in check.

Can@fonefan. Pale golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is malty, some yeasty notes along with spices, mild rubbery notes as well as quite strong on the grassy side. Flavour is very similar, finishing in a rather big bitter way. A rather strongly hopped Belgian ale, but still tasty as such.

Tap at irreale. Earthy, metallic-and minerally aromatics - that yeast is pining for the fjords in a oxidized kind of way. Pale yellow, white head. Medium light sparkly body. Straw malt, light grassy hops, clay finish.

Can, 32oz. An almost clear one, golden in color and with a small, off-white head. The aroma is mostly on the fruity side, with some white sugar and a grassy touch. It’s medium bodied and quite dry on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. Fruity flavor with white sugar and grassy hops, some pine cones too. Lasting finish with a generic fruityness and grass. A decent one indeed, but it’s rather boring anyway, just like most Belgian style blond ales. Quenching though. 150228

Hell hefiger, wenig karbonisierter Antrunk. Helles Malz, recht langweilig. Zum Ende hin wird die Hefigkeit dunkler, das Bier wässriger. 9/8/9/7/7/7
