Aus der Flasche 2016-01 getrunken. Super süffig und ein sehr stimmiges Porter. Immer gern wieder. Hier würde ich mir einen etwas kräftigeren Körper wünschen.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a reddish brown with a beige head. Complex aroma, some rotten, overripe fruit and almost a tart Flemish Red character - and then coconut, that’s many layers. Body is roasty and dry but annoyingly thin, loads of pleasant coconut character. The coconut really comes out well, but personally I’d like some more sweetness and body to soak up all that flavour. 290816

Bottled, thanks fonefan! Dark brown, rich firm head. Huge coconut aroma. Sweetish with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Loads of coconut, some chocolate and toffee. Low-medium bitterness. Well made, except for the fact that coconut dominates to the fullest, leaving little trace of anything else. Tough to rate a beer that is all around great, then stuffed to the limit with something that kills all the goodness.

Beer gift from Skinnyviking, many thanks for a 500ml bottle. A patchy, fawn-coloured head to a coal black body with a deep brownish shade. Coconut smell alright added by chocolate. Similar taste of coconut chocolate. Not that overly sweet to the ending. Quite drinkable, a little unvaried though (shared with Finn and djoeye at a Sunday session, Tromsø 03.04.2016).

Flaske 500ml. Gave fra Skinnyviking. Delt med djoeye og Rune på Nerstranda 3 Apr 16. Svart. Kanskje et lite rødskjær. Filmskum. Aroma av kokos. Smaken kliin kokos, Uvariert. Avslutter litt søtt. En del bunnfall.

Near black with a small off-white head. Aroma of coconut/Malibu liqueur, with a touch of milk chocolate. Dry, slightly thin, coconut and chocolate flavour with a burnt/ashy character. Very unbalanced.

bottle, kindly delivered by kappldav123! Deep black with a creamy brown head. Aroma of coconut and chocolate. Full-bodied, good malty base with the perfect sweetness to deliver chocolatey flavours, shy hints of coffee, and most interesting of all: coconut. I didn’t really expect this to work, but the coconut flavours in this delightful dark beer really do work! Delicious, very unusual and extremely moreish! Superb!

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass deep black, dry aroma. Starts strong, intense malty, dry, light sweetish background. Notes of cocos are very mild. Dry malty finish. Interesting beer!

0,5 l bottle out of the big kappldav123 box. Thanks a lot mate! Pours out black. Small fast fading beige head. Malt and winery sourness on the nose. And cocos. Taste: My worst expectations comes true. A lot of cocos. Winery sourness, malt with some bitterness. Oh no, not my cup of tea, getting hair loss due to the cocos..
