Cask gravity at Watford rugby Club beer fest. Orange light amber coloured pour with a fleeting white head. Aroma is earthy woody, light treacle, nutty malt. Flavour is medium sweet, nuts, caramel! Some berry hop, blackberry hops. Palate is medium sweet, lowish carbonation. Well made but fucking boring.

(Cask at Union Tavern, Westbourne Park, London, 11 Apr 2014) Amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with orange, apricots, caramel and citric hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, caramel, orange peel, marmalade and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Fresh and tasty. Nice one.

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Bash 2013. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is stale malt and a hint of barnyard. The flavour is medium bitter with a little liqourice hoppy spicy pepperness on the slightly watery palate. I enjoyed it, but would I order a pint??

Cask at the Reading Beer Festival 2012. Pours clear, orange-gold with a bubbly foam head. Crunchy grains and ripe citrus fruits mingle in the nose. Medium sweet flavor, floral, with toasty dough and herbal hops. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, lightly sticky finish with some grass, corn and mellow flowers. Nice.

Served from stillage at Ascot Races (Choisir bar) 19/06/12. Clear golden/amber colour with a small white head. Sweet malts and hops on the nose. Caramel malt in the taste backed up with fresh hops, grassy and a little minerals. Medium bodied, good carbonation. Drinkable but not the best W&E have produced!

Cask at Ealing beer festival 2012. An amber/golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, malty aroma. Tastes hoppy, malty, citrus fruit, quite bitter. Rather plain and not too much going on here.

Old Fountain. Clear gold beer, tidy white head. Light smooth palate, semi dry. Nice hops, orange then something a bit more exotic. Gooseberry like with a touch of mango. Trace of lemon and kiwi. Semi dry finish. Mild bitter aftertaste. Really nice.

Cask-conditioned at Bucks and Berks Beeriodical, Seven Stars, Bristol May 2012. Deep gold with a decent white head. Citrus fruit, plenty of hop character, solid malts, a hint of spice and lingering, bitter finish. Good.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Amber with a tight cream head; malty aroma with a touch of spice; malty body with some citrus; and a pleasantly sharp bitterness to finish. Simple stuff, but a nice summer pint.
