Can (BBE 08/2014, 473 ml, ABM)
Dark brown/black color, good brownish head, some lace. Dark malts, woody hoppyness, licorice and rye in the nose. Medium-bodied. Good maltyness. Dark bread, coffee, some sweetish and salty licorice flavor, piney hoppyness. Even 3 months after its BBE this is tasty CDA.

Can from AlesByMail.co.uk.
Dark brown body, with a big, creamy, dark beige head.
Aroma of citrus, pine, peach, berries, chocolate, roast, earth.
Taste is bitter and dry, with grapefruit, pine, dark chocolate, coffee, earth.
Light, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation and it finishes bitter, dry, roasty, astringent, with lemon peel, pine and coffee.

Good. The nose is really nice, with various fruity hop and dark malt notes. The taste is a bit too much dominated by the dry bitterness for my liking and not as complex as the nose. Nice, but I’ve had better Black IPAs.

Can split at CBC Clerko, big thanks to LKS for another CDA, 30/09/14. Light black with a decent tan covering that retains. Nose is rich roasty tones, pine, light smoke, earthy, spice, bitter tropicana. Taste comprises pine bite, liqourice, spice, bitter grapefruit, cocoa rub. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Solid CDA.

Can thanks to Leighton. It pours darkest brown/nr black with a small light tan head. The nose is juicy, roasted malt, toast, fresh citrus, varnish, mineral,s sherbet and light soap. The taste is crisp, juicy, bitter roasted malt, earth, cocoa, earth, ash, orange sherbet and light chalk. Medium body and fine carbonation. Juicy and rather tasty. A solid BIPA.
