Bies Bryghus 241014. Amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma is butterscotsch, malt, caramel. Flavour is smoked, butterscotsch, caramel, hop. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Caramellish aroma but also quite some diacetyl. Rich, malty body, but heavy on vegetables. Very poor. 270315

Bottle 500ml. [ As Bies Væbner Scottish Ale ].[ Trade by The Norway Crew ]. Clear medium orange amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, caramelized malt, butterscotch notes. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average duration, hay, pale malt, butterscotch notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141227]

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Clear dark amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and light hoppy. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. 271214

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and light butterish. Sweet, toasted and light butterish. Dry and toasted malty finish.

Bottle, 6%. Clear dark amber/brown with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, little toasted, hop and bread. Flavour is malt, caramel, toasted, bread, medium sweet, hop and a little bitter.

Tap. Frothy White fair mostly deminishing head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Prune notes. Light bitter strange dark fruit/caramellic notes. Average finish. Oily palate.

Draught @ Bies bryghus, Hobro. Pours amber with a creamy offwhite head. Aroma of malt, roast, caramel, nuts, hints of wood, coffee grounds. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, nuts, wood, light buttery, eath, light smoke. Medium body, flat corbonation. 211114

Pours hazy reddish brown with a few off-white bubbles. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, butterscotch and hint of smoke. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a faint hint of smoke and caramel finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
