Hazy amber and copper coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of grassy and very floral hops with a bit of a pine kick, some malt and earth and a little citrus and sugar scent as well - nice. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and very herbal hoppiness with a mellow, but noticeable malt backbone show through and leave this well balanced, if not dry and bitter from the hops, bu the sugars and fruit don’t really show through - this is all about those hops. Aftertaste shows some more grass and dry flavours, with a little perfume and resin noticeable as well. Overall, a well-structured beer that has some pleasant hop flavours, a nice balanced and a touch of subdued complexity that make this a decent to good IPA (from the East Coast). I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 03-February-2017 for US$2,49 at the end of my driveway, sampled at home in Washington on 26-February-2017.
