Can, 7%. Almost blackwith medium light brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, caramel and hop. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, medium sweet, caramel, little lacto, hop and medium bitter.

Sampled on draft at Chef Dato’s Table in Latrobe this beer poured a black color with a medium sized creamy beige head that faded but left incredible lacing. The aroma was roasty and toasty with an undertone of vanilla. The flavor was very roasty with notes of coffee, cocoa, vanilla and a bitter floral hop undertone. Long roasty coffee, cocoa and vanilla finish. Medium body. Solid.

Draft at You Pick Six Tap Room, Erie, PA. Pint showed dark black cool with thin tan head, light retention. Nose is sweet chocolate and burnt sugar. The flavor is all sweet malts, roasted grain, cold coffee without any hop character. All roasted malt. Medium body leaning on the thin side. This stout is a tad on the lean side but if you are looking for a session stout this could be a good idea if you are in the Western PA area since I’m sure this is not a largely distributed beer. It is worth a try.

On tap at the brewbub. Big black pour with very little head. Nice mellow stout aroma. Very good initial stout impressions. Hides the 7% (as stated on the menu) rather well. Some bitterness does begin to build but never really gets near impy stout staus. Old burned wet campfire wood coats the back of the throat onthe finish. Decent overall stout experience.

Draught. Dark pour with a chocolatey-coffee aroma. Flavor is about the same, with a touch of peat and earth added in. I don’t think it was anywhere near 6% ABV, it came across as thin, both in texture and umpf. Had a fairly nice creamy texture.
