Fragrant, pleasantly soft roasted malt notes paired with fine notes of berries and dried fruit give a hint of a special treat! A powerful, malty aromatic body emerges from the fine-pored, compact foam. Beautifully soft and mildly structured, the aromas of berries and ripe cherries leave a mild sweetness, which in the finish is replaced by a slight bitterness of hops.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear mahogany colour, rich head. Very sweet, bready and raisiny with white pepper and loads of caramel. Heavy bodied with well rounded mouthfeel. Ash and salted caramel. Red apples and cellar with resiny bitter finish.

Bottle - Dark brown in colour. Fruity aroma with notes of dried fruit, spice and some roasted hints. Fruity, malty and slightly sweet taste with notes of dried fruit, nuts and caramel.

Sample at a tasting at Systembolaget, September 2012. Clear dark brown. A lot of malt both in the aroma and taste. Sweet with toffee and some light notes of chocolate. Also some dark fruit.

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, mahogany colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Rather discreet aroma of toasted malt with caramel and a whiff of dark chocolate. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dark and moderately toasted malt-character with notes of caramel, molasses and traces of chocolate; sweet and mildly toasted malty finish with primary notes of molasses. Likeable but not a great Doppelbock. 29.V.12

Malziger Antrunk, etwas wässrig, lasch. Im Mittelteil würziger und alkoholischer, unausgewogen. Leicht röstmalziger Nachgeschmack, weiter lasch und rauh. Zuletzt süß-malzig. Danke an Leverkusener. Test vom 21.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,7,7,6,7,6 - 6,75
