Boom! The soft waters of Pilsen. Czech Republic birthed this classic style centuries ago & the waters from the Artesian wells in Memphis are perfect to create our own version today. Pow! This beer is made with German pilsner malt and is spiked with local wildflower honey. There are delicate herbal aromas wafting forth from this crisp, smooth Pale Lager. Shazam!

Can from Trader Joe's. Pours a clear, straw gold with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Grassy nose with lots of golden malt, grain and slight skunky notes. Kinda too thin and watery. Light sweetness and minimal bitterness. Want more body and bite on the finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Tiny Bomb on 20 Dec 2017 at 19:56 - Score: 6. On tap at Pepperfire. Pours a clear straw yellow with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces slightly. Aroma has a nice grass note with straw and hay supporting. Flavor has grass, straw and hay with a bit of a crisp finish.

Can: Sweet hay, cane sugar aroma. Hazy yellow, thick head, floaties, gushed upon opening the can, nice lace. Grassy hay, no noble hop presence, tinny. Light body, easy carbonation.

Sample during FleischNacht Teil 3 on 08/16/2017. Clear yellow-gold color with a medium thin white head that evaporates steadily to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Floral and grassy aroma with malt and fruit notes. Light-bodied with flavors of pale malt, floral hops and fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Can from Kroger, Cookeville, Tennessee. Pale golden and quite active in the palate. It’s not overly stated as a pilsner, but not very tasty either.

12oz can. Huh. Guess their are a lot of homers in TN. Pale yellow tan body. Frothy white head. Light bodied, highly sessionable. Not really that great of an example of the style, but certainly still drinkable stuff. Not off. Lightly bready, faintly hopped. Delicate. OK.

Very quaffable pils, light and airy with an underlying sweetness offsetting the dry, floral haystack hoppiness. Pours a bright yellow gold, offering up a fluffy if fleeting head and modest lacing. Nose leans floral, hay and pine on the underside. Taste starts dry, pilsner malt meeting a minor yeasty note, then develops a noticeable sweet vein underneath the usual grassy, floral Euro-hop pungency. Stays light, and finishes semidry with a moderate bitterness.

Tap at Flying Saucer Emporium, Memphis. Colour is slightly cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Sweetness, some grain, some hops and malts. Better than average American pilsner but nothing compared to German pilsners.

12 oz can. Hazy straw yellow pour with a large white head and very good retention. Good lacing. Very crisp mouthfeel. Lightly bitter taste with a dry finish. Okay.
