0.5l bottle - ginormous thanks Ryan for sharing! Clear amber body, off-whtie head, looking fantastic. Malty, clean aroma, lightly floral and herbal. Malty taste as well, lightly caramelly, bit floral, herbal, ending dryish and bitter. Not nearly as wow-level as its siblings, but I'm so damn glad to have tried it!

Witzgall-Bier - Festbier, Flasche von Hopfen & Malz im Wedding. - Dunkles Kupfergold, klar. (bottle) Clear, golden colour with a solid and slightly off-white foamy head. Mildly sweet malty aroma with subtle fruity notes and rounded flowery and herbal hops. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a well-matured carbonation. Slightly draffy cara-malty base with present herbal hops; medium-dry finish with a pleasant hop and (cara-)malt ration. They know how to brew good beer in Schlammersdorf ! Reading the reviews from overseas almost made me cry; this kind of Franconian Lager has to be consumed as fresh as possible (one or two months after filling) and is not suitable for regular export. 17.XII.11

Bottle, thanks pivnizub. Pours amber, fine carbonation and a off-white head. Spicy caramel base, fat fruity, some salt and limestone, a few grainy notes, broad herbal hops. Fairly dry on the palate, salty edges into the finish. Rough but pleasant.
