(Cask at Craft Beer Co Islington, London, 30 Nov 2014) Dark brown colour with brief, beige head. Malty, slightly smoky nose with dark rye bread, dark fruit and orange peel. Malty, slightly smoky taste with notes of dark bread, dried fruit, prunes, rye bread and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty, with a balanced touch of smoke. Nice one.

Craft Islington. Keg. Clear deep red - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is semi dry and crisp. Light airy malts, a very mild dark chocolate and a bare whisper of roast. Mellow smoke. Sharp minerals in the mid. Few esters before a crisp dry finish. For a 6.1% beer itโ€™s quite mild flavour wise.
