Pours a dark reddish brown, little bit of off-white head. Smells very barrel forward, green apples, peat. Mouthfeel is decently thick and smooth, bit boozy. Taste is acetates from the barrel, with some nice bitterness at the back. Whisky, raisin, Bowmore.. The component parts are all there, but the result is very unbalanced. Too much barrel, and solventy green apples. Not bad though. Nor great.

Can. Dark amber color. Alcoholic. The Springbank dominates. Red berries. Raisin. Malty sweet. Hint of aceton. The balance is questionable, the beer is good.

Can. Hasy deep amber beer, residual pale tan head. Light and fairly dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Ripe barrel aged malts, some overripe fruity caramel. Fair bit of musty fruit. Port Wine must. Spice. Knackered brandy and rum. Light dry spicy finish. Tingling alcohol linger. Shows its big abv and is quite musty but plenty of flavour here too.

Sampled from can @ RBBWG 2018, hosted by Beerlovers Bar, Antwerp. Brown color, small sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, alcohol, sweetish and sweetish sugary. Hmm not a fan.

Can @ home. Black with a very small head. It's like drinking almond coffee mixed with fingerpaint, cherry peel and tannines. A bit rough to be honest, but I don't hate it. Full body, warming.

Can. Dark brown pour. Aroma of ripe red fruit, booze, figs, caramel whisky and raisin, really strong, can smell it from far away. Taste has strong gluey booze, raisin, caramel, dates and just more medicinal booze. Why did they think this blend worked well? Bad overly alcoholic glue beer.

10/III/18 - 33cl can @ RBBWG (Beer Lover's, Antwerp) - BB: I/2023 (2018-294) Thanks to markoijelena for sharing the can!

Clear dark brown beer, small creamy irregular beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: wow, dirty, weird, very medicinal, unpleasant smell. Don't like this! MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: weird, some peat, lots of alcohol, roasted, bit unpleasant. Aftertaste: melons, alcohol, weird, roasted touch, sourish undertone, more alcohol. Don't like this one...
