On tap at Beaver Brewing Company Wien, shared with Hrabren. Reddish coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, yeasty and spicy nose. Yeasty, spicy, fruity, banana as well and touch of alcohol in the finish. Bit too strong banana.

On tap at Beaver Brewing Company, Vienna, shared with Ogi. Ruby red, moderate off-white head. Lacing on the glass. Malty aroma, caramel, estery, fruity notes, dried fruit, and some spice. Malty flavour, fruity and spicy, and quite alcoholic. Medium body, smooth texture, quite drinkable, dry finish.

Der einsame Mönch ⛪ ist ein belgisches 🧇 Tripel, das nicht nur ordentlich Alkohol 🍸hat, sondern auch die auf der Karte versprochenen Aromen nach Honig 🍯 und Trockenfrüchten 🍒 liefert.
Der schwere, aber aromatisch fein gestaltete Körper wird von einem herben Hopfenton im Abgang abgelöst.
Vielleicht nicht so tiefgründig wie klassische Belgier, aber doch ein feiner Vertreter seiner Sorte.
