Bottle from Sourced, on the Eurostar to Brussels, 26/09/13. Murky orange amber with a moderately sized off white head which clears to a covering. Nose is light soap, citrus, lemon rind, grass, light caramel notes. Taste comprises earthy farmy notes, citrus fruit, bitter orange, lemon peel, candied sugars, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy bitter finale. Decent saison.

Bottle from sourced market, large sample. Cloudy Orange color, short head. Aroma has citrus, lots of biscuity malt, spicy and peppery yeast. Chewy biscuity sweetness in taste, together with dry peppery notes from the yeast. Too much malt forward for me and a bit inbalanced in all its flavors.

500ml bottle [Gusher! Another bottle even exploded while being stored]. Cloudy amber colour with huge, frothy, diminishing, moderately lacing, white head. Fruity aroma has notes of orange, mandarine, minimally peppery, spicy yeasty overtones. Taste is fruity hoppy, notes of orange, mandarine, a dry touch of fruit parings, some fruit acid, some caramel malt in between, minimally grassy overtones; lively carbonation.

Draught @ BAJT. Pours tiny hazy amber with a frothy and tiny fizzy amberish white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of lacing on the glass. Smell is tiny fruity, tiny malty and phenolic with crackers, biscuits, pears, plums, grapes, moist wood, cereal, sweet dark bread, dry soil, black currant leaves, lemon zest, glue and moist hay. Taste is slightly sweet, slightly bitter, tiny fruity and phenolic with crackers, biscuits, pears, overripe apples, plums, lemon zest, sheet metal, overripe black currants, dry soil and moist wood. Mouthfeel is round, tiny astringent, soft and medium bodied. Finish is bitter and phenolic with crackers, biscuits, plums, lemon juice, moist wood, hay, black pepper corns, grape skins, St Johns wort, grass and clovers. Strange but pretty good.

Bottle at home in London - picked up the Kris Wines. Pours mostly clear chestnut gold, with delicate effervescence and a lively, frothy off-white head. The aroma holds lots of doughy bread, some mashed ripe bananas, hints of orange, yeast. The flavor is medium sweet with plenty more bready malts, a bit of yeasty dough, lightly toasted hay, ripe bananas, subtle cereal, faint citrus peel. Light to medium bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Sweet finish, some lightly sugary and doughy bread, suggestions of alcohol, touches of banana and bubblegum, slight bitter toasted hay. Nicely balanced. Fairly refreshing. Well executed for the style.
