The aromas are dark malt, roast, with a little caramel and molasses. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, nuttiness comes forward along with some bittersweet. Ok beer.

Tap at Craftheads. Taste is nutty. What a surprise! But actually, also a fair bit of spiky maltiness. Lingering aftertaste of nuts. Maybe not the most exciting beer I've ever had, but it's nice enough. Little bit of sweetness there. Cola and light bitterness.

16oz can. Pretty deep brown body. Steady beige head. Certainly nutty, but not in a natural way..in an oily extract or just strong candy pecan way. So I guess it is good, like flavored soda is good, it has unique flavors. Not really a solid beer, mostly because it really hides a thin boring body behind those artificial tones. Artificial burnt plastic aroma.

Tap. Pours clear hazel, large creamy beige head, great lacing. Aroma is chocolate, roasty, nutty, hints of smoke, toffee. Flavor is medium sweet, light acidity, light bitterness, loads of cocoa. Medium body. Ah, failed to notice that "The Dudes" is officially my 200th California brewery rated. Cool!

Pour is a dark brown with a average tan head. Aroma Is roasted nuts with some toffee and a bit of coffee. Flavor is a big nut with more of a caramel following. Finish leaves a peanut butter on the tongue as this goes down. This was a decent beer if you like nutty beers. A bit one dimensional with the nuts used but it was better than your average brown ale.

Can shared at the Kernel during Zwanze 2014. Thanks to...Fergus? Pours clear brown with a big, frothy tan head. The nose holds light dusty cocoa, some brown bread, toasted sugars. Medium sweet flavor with light roast, nice chocolate, some dried fruits, toasty toffee. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced finish with more toasted toffee and mellow cocoa. Nothing wrong here.
