We went back to the well for this one. It is a remix of our classic Veritas 006 (aka sangria). We have raspberry and cherry providing the bulk of the fruit texture over a sour yellow base beer. To this, we also added some orange peel and freshly zested mandarin orange zest as well. The beer finishes with a nice tannic finish and is truly a refreshing riff on a Lost Abbey classic.

Bottle. An almost clear one, just a little haze, a small light beige head sits on top of the amber colored body. The aroma is rather vinegarish, with oak, some dried fruits and raspberry, a touch of alcohol and higher alcohols too. Sort of sweet in the mouth, yet dry and tart, with a little carbonation. Lots of raspberry in the flavor, with vinous hints, vinegar and a faint roasted touch. A subtle orange touch too, zest, not fruit meat or juice. Lasting finish with vinegar, raspberry and vinous notes. At the first sip it was a bit boring, but it turned out to be a really nice one. 141220
