Sample from bottle, thanks to my beerpal Olav, who brought it from San Diego. ABV is 12.5%. Pitch black colour, low tan head. Intense and lovely aroma - sweetish, vinous, oaky and roasty. Sweet and sour flavour, roasty and lemony notes, lighter body than expected.

Bottle at source. Pours with a murky brown to bronze hued body. A small tan head that lasts and leaves moderate lace. Aromas are subdued compared to flavor. Vinous, dusty, jammy, barrel, bretty, peaches, rosemary, vanillin and red wine. Flavors are fruity and vinous. Boozy, jammy, alcohol. Very rich barrel, vanilla, currants, peaches and dark fruits. Easy to feel the alcohol on the palate, but flavor is a bit more subdued as far as higher alcohols. Medium brett, but a very good amount of clean sourness. Acetic acid is moderate to low.. Lots of cherry flavor. Think amarena fabbri cherries...Or high end manhattan cherries. Mild leather as it warms. Also nutty and extra vanillin barrel characteristics. Complex and tasty! Medium body, quite vinous, light alcoholic slickness, medium bubbles, warming. Richly delicious!
