Sample at the tap room. Hazy brownish-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to a film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of roast malt, caramel and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, fruit and mild earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Bruisin' Ales, 1/12/15

Aroma: The aroma is strong toffee, caramel, and burnt toast, with some nutty notes as well
Appearance: It pours a mahogany color, mostly clear, with a clean, frothy, beige head
Flavor: The taste is light-medium sweet, heavy malty, without much bitterness at all
Palate: The body is medium-plus, with a soft-to-average carbonation, and a smooth finish
Overall Impression: I'm watching a surprisingly good first version of the college football championship while I drink this. Solid beer. Very malty. Lacks balance.

12 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown, with a small, beige head. Butter toffee, cinnamon, light rye, and black bread. The flavor is bready sweetness, and a very light bitterness. Light to medium body, chalky, sticky, and creamy. Overall, this is a pretty nice, malty beer. Very mellow bittering, and a fairly clean palate.
