Sampled at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep amber with a gray head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice earthy grain note with a bit of light grass but mainly earthy grains. Flavor is similar with earthy grains ANG grass with a hint of resin and sweetness.

Tap in Asheville. Deep unfiltered amber-brown. Thin tan head. Quite an attempt at an English version. Dull, watery, some mild soapy hops and watery caramel. Smooth, malt dominated. Sort of like a Brown Ale. Uninspired.
