Our Longfin Lager has become one of the go-to beers with the team at the brewery. A solidly balanced Helles inspired Lager with a clean, slightly hoppy finish that could easily fit in at any German beer garden. We think it’s perfect for enjoying on the beach, the boat or anywhere else you can put an ice chest full of beer.

Bottle from Beergium. Aroma is crisp grainy malt, straw, light bready with grassy notes and a touch of citrussy hops. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Body is light to medium. Nicely crisp and easy drinking Lager, tasty grainy malts with a little grass and citrus.

Can sent by Ballast Point for my comment. It pours a bright gold color, slight haze at the center, with a fizzy, rapidly dwindling head. Since, in my mind, most American lagers are based on the Helles/Dortmunder style, this one kind of confirms it by having the familiar beer smell I grew up with. Tastewise, I'm getting a little more malt sweetness, while German versions of the style are a bit drier and hoppier. A bit of hop pepper is felt towards the back of the palate. The extra malt gives it a bit more of a soda character, and it's easy to drink quickly if I'm not careful. Yes, goes down in a hurry, with no regrets.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Almost clear pale golden. Fruity nose with some floral hops. Dryish with light body and clean mouthfeel. Very basic malt character, lacking softness and harmoni. Fairly low bitterness.

Bottle at Sammys Woodfired Pizza, San Marcos. Clear golden with a small white head. Mild with bread, grain and some light hops. The finish was medium bitter. Not the best one from Ballast Point.
