Sparkling gold, lasting white head, small plentiful bead. Slightly grassy nose. Grainy with a dirty line taste, which one doesn’t get often in a bottle

Golden colour. Grainy, husky aroma with urine-like hop notes. Light, fizzy body with stale bread notes and a slightly tart, crisp wheaty finish. What bugs me is the double-shot to the groin that this beer represents. It’s one thing to suck, but Shaftebury used to have a pretty good wheat beer in the pre-Sleeman days, like a really good riff on the Widmer Hefeweizen concept. Moreover, they used to call their Christmas barley wine "Wet Coast". Bringing back memories of two tasty old-school Shaftebury brews does not conjure up favourable comparisons when drinking this bland foolishness.
