Bottle pours out golden copper-topped with a sand head. Nose is Big Bourbon Barrel upfront some Citrus Pine Hops and plenty sweet mullets. Nose is more of the nice heavy bourbon notes vanilla with a bitter Pine Citrus hop to help cut the booze.

Bottle shared on the GABF Friday brewery tour bus and another big bruising beer (this one is only 13%) on a day of non stop beery goodness at every turn!!! It pours deep gold with copper edges and dirty white tan head of foam. The aroma pushes up resiny pine hoppiness, booze, sticky sap and spicy oak. Alright, so this beer isn’t messing around. The taste is similar with vibrant pine and sap and resiny sticky hoppiness everywhere. Where there wasn’t bitter resiny hops there was thick shards of spicy oak, bruising booziness and a slight sense of sweet smooth bourbon like booze. Wow! If you want a style pushing IIPA this is the IIPA to try. Damn big, boozy and bitter. Wow!

Bottle shared by some generous soul on the beer bus! Pours a clear tawny color with a medium white head. A nose of bourbon with lime and oranges in it. A bit of an odd mix always these BA IPAs: sweet bourbon, wood, citrus hops, low bitterness. OK. Certainly interesting.
