Bottle shared at Leightons place, 31/07/2017. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. A jet black coloured pour with a frothy tan head. Aroma is oyster, earthy roast, cream coffee, milky. Flavour is composed of strawberry jammy, dried chocolate, airy lactose, earthy roast, little rusty penny, . Little dusty grains.

Can shared in London - sourced from an online retailer. Pours deep brown with a small, creamy khaki head. The aroma has soft roast, old leather, earth. Light sweet flavour with more earthy notes, bitter cocoa, leathery dried berries. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with bittersweet chocolate, moderate roast, scorched earth. Decent overall.

Draft @ the brewery. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty licorice and chocolate aroma. Roasted malty licorice and chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and weak coffee finish.

Can from Alesbymail. Almost black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Light dry and moderate bitter finish. 090815

473 ml can @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah. Opaque black color, decent sized brownish head. Smell and taste malts, some oatmeal, some dark malts, some caramel. Decent body and carbonation. Decent.

Can from Ales By Mail. It pours jet black with a sturdy tan head. The nose is roasted malt, salted liquorice, coffee grounds, charred wood, umami and cocoa. The taste is smooth, rich roast, coffee, earth, salted caramel, coca and light liquorice with a toasty finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and creamy mouth-peel. Not much depth, but good mouth-feel and drinkability. Decent.

Can 473ml. @ home. [ As Central Coast Stenner Creek Stout ].Clear dark black brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, dark malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, dusty, coffee, dry, malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141224]
