Mermaids, those mysterious aquatic lovelies, have popped up all over the world in legend since 1000 BC. No scientific evidence has ever surfaced to support their existence, but we’re not ones to argue with folklore.
A light-bodied, crisp-drinking, nicely hopped lager. A heavy-handed addition of rye malt adds a mild spiciness, which is balanced by a light, fruity, floral hop aroma.

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Clear deep golden color with a medium white head. Aroma of malt, hay, bread, caramel, floral and slightly grassy hops and some vegetal notes. Sweetish malty flavor with caramel, a note of honey, finishes with some bitter hops. Medium-bodied. Kinda OK.

Bottle from craft beer of month club my friend got me, although Ive passed over this beer in stores many a time. Pours golden with small dissipating head. Not much to speak of on nose, some malt perhaps, tastes pretty full bodied for pilsener, lots of malt, some grains, pepper, paper, and earth. Decent bitterness. Ok

On tap at Hay Merchant. Pours a clear gold with thick frothy white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is wheat grass and hay. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet corn malt and crisp finish. Easy to drink a very good pilsner from Coney Island.

Draft at Alchemy. Hazy golden orange. Thin white head. Lemony sweet dry hops. The rye adds a certain depth to it. An interesting, refreshing medium bodied beer. The rye detracts from it’s sessionability, making it feel fuller. Lemon bread, floral honey finish. OK, very forgettable.

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a lightly cloudy dark gold with a half finger of white head. Aroma of corn and light piney hops. Taste is light bitter. Pine hops and corn with a little bready malt. Light bodied with a slick texture. Lively carbonation and an average finish. Overall, not bad. Would be a great beer for drinking outside in the summer.

This brew pours a clear yellow-gold color with a medium thin white head that dissipates steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grainy malt and fruit. Light body with flavors of bready malt, grain and lightly floral hops. The finish is sweet and malty. Pretty average overall.

Pours pale amber with a large, lasting head.Nose shows restrained orange marmalade with some bready malt in the background.Flavours concentrate on the malt, mainly bready and grainy characters. A little of the citrus fruit hops transfers through too. The finish is a little metallic.Could use more carbonation.

sample from bottle at Brew Haven fest - Light gold pour with a white head and the aroma of cereal malt and light hops. The flavor is sweet, light malt with a hint of fruitiness that’s well balanced by light to medium hops bitterness that lingers in the finish. Average.
