(bottle) Clear, ruby brown colour with a beige and big foamy head. Earthy toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel and hints of chocolate. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Dark malty, moderately toasted taste with notes of caramel and subtle fruity notes; sweet and delicately bitter finish with traces of chocolate. Decent, but not world-shaking Bock. 30.I.14

bottle, thanks wastl! Deep brown colour, large and creamy beige head. Caramel, roasetd malts, dark fruit - combined with a smooth and velvety palate this makes a highly enjoyable example of the style.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass quite zippy, nice head. Starts strong-malty, not too roasty, fine notes of dried fruits. Finish very well balanced, not alcoholic, warming malty. Nice bock!

50cl swingtop - hazy reddish brown with a creamy head - nose of sugar, raisin, cherry, caramel, light acidity - upon the first sip, there are obvious signs of infection, which must be where the acidity in the nose comes from - light sourness and acidity partially washes out the flavors of what might be a halfway decent bock - some caramel, date, raisin, cinnamon - but the infection has taken hold too much, leaving these notes merely an afterthought on the palate - might be decent if fresh, but these bottles apparently don’t travel well.
